Another week, another weekend. There are lots of Events this weekend in Clovis and Fresno, and we are excited to tell you about what we think is going to be the best. So, without further adieu, we present to you the best events happening in and around the Clovis area
Events This Weekend:
Friday:
Today marks the official start of the weekend. Well, at least 5 P.M does. At that point, most people are coming out of work, and breathing a huge sigh of relief as they move toward the weekend. Like last week, and for the next couple of months, Old town Clovis is having a Farmer’s market starting at 5:30 at Pollasky Avenue. There is going to be some great, local produce, as well as tons of Kids’ craft events. This is sure to be one of the better events this weekend and fun for the whole family.
Saturday:
In neighboring Fresno, there is going to be a showing of Norman Rockwell’s lithographs from a permanent collection. Norman Rockwell, as you may or may not know, is responsible for some of the most iconic images in Americana. In fact, that has been the exact subject of a lot of his most famous pictures. This event is taking place at the Fresno Art Museum located at 2233 North First Street. This event takes place from 11:00 A.M – 5:00 P.M and runs on Sunday as well.
How could the events get better than these two? We’ll tell you.
Sunday:
Boasting acres of courteous and interesting Vendors, the Old Town Flea Market is taking place at the Clovis Rodeo Grounds. All of the Vendors are hand picked, since this is a juried event, and are sure to impress with lots of repurposed and vintage items that make flea market treasure hunting always a treat. The event costs $10.00, which gives you access to 16 acres of fun and interesting items. Surely, this is one of the best events you can experience over the weekend.
Like always, we hope you have an exciting, or relaxing, weekend. We also hope you get a chance to head out into the community and check out one of the great events we have listed. Let us know if you venture out to one of these, and tell us of your experience.
